Herdsires:

Hickory Hills Casper the Friendly

Casper is a wonderful 33 inch ivory jack with a sweet personality.  He is the foundation for our ivory breeding program.  We  had our first two ivory foals by Casper in May 2007 and both were jacks.  One is now in Germany and the other has gone to Florida.  We have mainly bred Casper for carriers for 2008, but we may get a surprise from one jennet who has an ivory great-grandfather....we are keeping our fingers crossed!

CLK Gunner

Gunner is an MSF that carries ivory.  We hope to use him in the future to breed to outcrossed jennys carrying the ivory gene.  He has wonderful conformation in addition to the spotting gene.  He has sired three beautiful foals for CLK Ranch, two of which were MSF, and we had our first foal from him, an excellent jennet, in April.  We have two jennets bred to Gunner for late 2008 foals, Twinkie and Darcy.  Darcy has thrown louds spots in the past, so we are hoping her patterning gene hooks up with Gunners spot gene for a colorful foal.

Hauenstein's Cloud Walker

Walker is an excellent spotted jack that may carry ivory as his grandmother is an ivory.  He is very well proportioned has a nice small head.  We will be using him in our ivory program with the hopes of producing spotted ivory and reducing size.

A9A Cloud Nine

Cloud is a spotted ivory that we hope to use in the future to expand our ivory herd.  He is currently spending time with the Teels in College Station,TX where he will be breeding some of their ivory carriers.  Hopefully they will have some ivory foals next year to expand their herd.  Cloud should be returning home to start his breeding career with us in spring of 2009.  We may decide to show him this year, so look for him at the Texas shows where we may make a surprise entrance!

Junior Herdsires:

Low Down's Crossfire

Pictures coming soon....

Crossfire is a very nice correct black or dark brown jack (we'll see what color he is when he sheds out).  He is sired by Sheloy's Carlos and out of Little Angels Chloe.  We will be anxiously waiting for this little guy to mature and see what he produces with our jennets that carry dark.  Thank you to Rita and Ken LeBert for letting us add this fabulous little guy to our herd!

Former Herdsires:

Arrow Creek Checkers

Checkers is a very well built 33 1/2 inch spot out of Arrow Creek lines.  His pedigree also includes Circle C Little Motown, so there is a possibility of producing dark with him.  We are looking forward to our first foals from him in the fall of 2007.  Because we are over-staffed on jacks, Checkers is offered for sale.  If interested please contact us for more info on him.

For reference only---Checkers has been sold.

A9A Pink Rambler

Pinky is a really nice light red jack that we will be using this year with several red carriers that we have.  He has and extensive pedigree and is a grandson of Sunset Acres Rustico.   Others in his pedigree include The Fireman and Windcrest Cherries Jubilee.  Look for some of his foals to be available early 2009.

For reference only---Pinky has been sold.

Rancho Nueces Smokey

Smokey is a very well built jack with a nice pedigree that includes Someday Farms and Double N.  Smokey has thrown dark browns and reds as well as lots of foals with bold dun markings.  We have kept several of his jennet foals for our breeding program and will be outcrossing them to our ivory jacks.

For reference only...Smokey has been sold.
